How to Correct and Export Your Weight History

Review, edit, or remove weight entries, then export the selected history as CSV or JSON.

How to Correct and Export Your Weight History

A useful export starts with a careful review. Before creating one, take a moment to check the entries you want to keep, correct any record that does not reflect what you meant to enter, and remove a record only when you are sure it should no longer be there. Weight Tracker lets you browse history by week, edit or delete a record, and export selected history as CSV or JSON. Its core data is in a local database, and you do not need an account to use it.

Review one week at a time

Begin with the week that contains the record you want to check. Browsing in weekly groups keeps the review focused and helps you compare nearby entries without needing to work through your entire history at once.

Check the date and value of the relevant record. Ask whether it is the entry you intended to make and whether anything needs to change. If you are not sure, leave it as it is for now and continue reviewing. You can return to the record once you know what you want to correct. A surprising entry is a reason to check its details, not an automatic reason to delete it.

If you are reviewing more than one week, finish checking the current week before moving to the next. This makes it easier to keep track of which records you have already considered and which ones still need attention.

Edit or delete deliberately

When a record should remain in your history but needs a correction, edit that record. After making the change, review the same week again and confirm that the entry now reflects what you intended to record. Keep the change limited to the record that needs attention.

Delete a record only when you have decided it should not remain in your history. Before removing it, check that you have the right entry, especially if nearby records look similar. Pausing for that check can help prevent an unintended deletion. You do not need to make a change to every record you review; leave entries that are already correct as they are.

Export the history you need

After reviewing the relevant weeks and making any needed changes, select the history you want to export. Weight Tracker supports CSV and JSON exports. Choose the format that suits your immediate purpose, and check the selected history before starting the export so it includes the records you intended.

Review first and export afterward. This keeps your selected history aligned with the corrections you just made. If you later notice another record that needs attention, return to that week, review the entry, and export the selected history again when you are ready.

Keep the process simple

A repeatable review can be brief: focus on one week, check the relevant dates and values, make only the corrections you intend, and then confirm which history you are exporting. You can use the same approach for a recent week or when checking older records. The goal is a history you have reviewed with care, not a requirement to edit or export everything.

Weight Tracker is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. This workflow is for managing recorded history, not interpreting what a weight entry means for your health.
